New 8,600-square-foot attraction at Marketplace Center will feature more than 25 themed mission rooms focused on teamwork, problem-solving and physical challenges.
BOSTON— Time Mission, an interactive team-based adventure experience, plans to open its first downtown Boston location in early 2027 at Marketplace Center, 200 State St., adjacent to Faneuil Hall Marketplace.
The new venue will occupy approximately 8,600 square feet and feature more than 25 immersive mission rooms where participants complete a series of timed challenges set in different eras spanning the past, present and future.
Players will work in teams to solve puzzles, crack codes, avoid laser obstacles and complete physical and mental challenges while racing against the clock. Rather than following a fixed sequence, teams can choose which missions to attempt, complete them in any order and replay their favorites. Each mission is designed around a different time period and emphasizes a range of skills, including teamwork, strategy, agility and problem-solving.
The Boston opening comes as location-based entertainment continues to expand in cities across the United States, with consumers increasingly seeking interactive, in-person experiences. According to the company, Time Mission has attracted hundreds of thousands of players across the United States and Europe.

“We’ve been looking for the right opportunity to bring Time Mission to Boston, and there’s no better time, or place, than right now at Marketplace Center,” said Rob Cooper, CEO of LOL Entertainment. “Boston has embraced immersive entertainment unlike almost any city in the country, and Time Mission brings an entirely new experience to that landscape. Every mission room challenges players to think, move, and work together, creating a highly replayable adventure that guests will want to play again and again.”
Located steps from Faneuil Hall Marketplace and within walking distance of downtown restaurants, attractions and Boston’s waterfront, the venue is designed to accommodate a variety of visitors, including local residents, tourists, students, families, corporate groups and private events.
The attraction is being developed by LOL Entertainment, the company that opened Museum of Illusions Boston at Marketplace Center in 2024. The museum has since become a popular destination for residents and visitors, and Time Mission marks the company’s second entertainment concept in the neighborhood.
Construction on the new venue is expected to begin later this year, with the attraction scheduled to open in early 2027 as one of Time Mission’s flagship North American locations.
