NEWTON, Mass. — Global Partners has opened its new corporate headquarters at 275 Grove Street in Newton, moving into a 125,000-square-foot space designed to bring employees together and support the company’s continued growth.
The independent liquid energy supplier and retail operator celebrated the opening of the new headquarters Sept. 14. The move represents a significant expansion from the company’s previous headquarters in Waltham, increasing its office footprint by 75%.
Global’s new headquarters occupies three floors of Building 3 at 275 Grove Street. The space includes 38 conference rooms, three dedicated collaboration spaces and a stadium-style staircase connecting all three floors.
Coffee bars and gathering areas are incorporated throughout the office to encourage employees to connect during the workday. The headquarters also includes dedicated areas for hosting customers and business partners.
“This headquarters represents a major step forward for our company,” said Eric Slifka, president and chief executive officer of Global Partners. “We set out to create a space that reflects who we are today, the quality of our people, the strength of the Global Spirit, and the ambition we have for the future.”
Slifka said the company invested significant thought and resources into the design, including workspaces and areas intended to encourage collaboration and strengthen relationships with customers and partners.
Location connects employees to Boston and New England
The new headquarters is located at the intersection of Interstate 95 and the Massachusetts Turnpike and directly adjacent to Riverside Station on the MBTA Green Line.
The location provides access for employees, customers and business partners traveling from across New England. Logan International Airport is approximately 20 minutes away, while restaurants, coffee shops and grocery stores are located nearby.
“My hope is that our teammates feel that energy the moment they walk through the doors,” Slifka said. “This headquarters is a reflection of what our people have helped build and what we are ready to build next.”
Amenities designed for employees
In addition to its office and collaboration areas, the headquarters features a range of amenities for employees.
Each floor has a coffee bar that is open daily, while a snack wall offers food available for purchase.
The building’s atrium includes Kendal Kitchen at Riverside, which provides fresh, made-to-order breakfast and lunch options.
Employees also have access to a state-of-the-art fitness center that is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week through employee badge access.
The property includes an on-site parking garage with more than 1,500 spaces for employees and visitors.
Global Partners said the headquarters was designed to reflect the company’s identity while providing space and amenities to support its continued growth.
