BEVERLY, Mass. — Pressed Cafe has opened its newest location at Cummings Center in Beverly, bringing the fast-growing fast-casual restaurant chain to one of the North Shore’s largest office and research campuses.
Located at 900 Cummings Center, the new restaurant is Pressed Cafe’s 12th location. The company, founded by Roi and Miri Shpindler in 2014, offers an all-day menu of freshly prepared food and beverages, with a focus on Mediterranean-inspired dishes and fresh local ingredients.
Pressed Beverly occupies more than 10,000 square feet and includes indoor and patio seating for nearly 150 guests. The restaurant also offers takeout, delivery and catering and is open seven days a week from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.
A basement bar with a speakeasy-style concept is expected to open in the coming weeks, adding another component to the restaurant’s offering.
“We are excited to become part of a tight-knit community,” said Miri Shpindler. “When we bring Pressed Cafe to a new town, we bring a bit of that town into Pressed Cafe.”
The Beverly location also incorporates references to one of the city’s most recognizable recent animal celebrities: Shoebert, the gray seal that captured local attention in 2022 after taking up residence in Cummings Center’s Shoe Pond and later making an unexpected trek to the Beverly Police Department.
The restaurant’s arrival adds another dining option to Cummings Center, a mixed-use campus that is home to several hundred companies and attracts thousands of visitors each day.
Cummings Properties Senior Vice President Steve Drohosky worked directly with the Shpindlers on the lease.
“With several hundred resident firms and thousands of visitors each day, Cummings Center is a high-traffic site with a strong reputation for diverse dining options,” Drohosky said. “The added variety and convenience that Pressed Cafe brings to our campus is sure to benefit the entire city of Beverly.”
Pressed Cafe joins an established restaurant cluster at Cummings Center that includes Early Harvest Diner, Regina Pizzeria, Soall Café, The Grass Market by Grassy Roots, The Whoo(pie) Wagon and Tony’s 2 Go convenience market.
The new restaurant is part of Pressed Cafe’s broader expansion. The company plans to open two additional locations by the end of 2026, continuing the growth of a brand that has expanded from its founding in 2014 to 12 locations.
Pressed Cafe is located at 900 Cummings Center, Suite 100-U, in Beverly.
