BOSTON — City Kids, the youth education nonprofit founded by City Realty Group, has announced the expansion of its City Kids Scholarship program, increasing the number of awards available to underserved students pursuing higher education.
Applications for the 2026 scholarship cycle are now officially open, with 25 students set to receive $1,000 scholarships to help cover tuition, books and other educational expenses.
The scholarship program was created to inspire intellectual curiosity and support educational advancement among students from Boston and surrounding urban communities. Through financial assistance and access to educational resources, City Kids aims to help remove barriers that often limit opportunities for underserved students.
“The City Kids Scholarship is about investing in the future of our communities,” said City Kids Co-Founder Stephen Whalen. “We believe every student deserves the opportunity to pursue higher education and achieve their goals, regardless of financial circumstances. By expanding this program, we hope to empower even more students to continue their educational journeys with confidence.”
The expanded initiative reflects City Kids’ broader mission to provide meaningful educational experiences and long-term support for students with ambition, talent and determination.
Eligible applicants include underserved students from Boston and neighboring urban areas who are planning to attend — or are currently enrolled in — a college, university or accredited higher education program.
In addition to easing financial burdens, the scholarship program is designed to encourage academic achievement, personal growth and future career success.
City Kids officials are encouraging students to apply early and carefully review all eligibility requirements and submission guidelines before the application deadline.
More information about the scholarship program and application process is available through the City Kids Scholarship page on City Realty Group’s website.
