NORTH TRURO, Mass.— The Community Development Partnership (CDP) is inviting residents, business leaders, and supporters from across the Lower and Outer Cape to come together later this month for an evening celebrating community, collaboration, and investment in the region’s future.
The nonprofit will host Summer Evening with the CDP on Tuesday, Aug. 25, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Truro Vineyards + South Hollow Spirits. The annual fundraising event will highlight the organization’s impact on housing, small business development, and economic opportunity while raising support for its year-round initiatives.
This year’s event comes as the CDP enters what it describes as a new chapter, with new leadership and renewed momentum focused on strengthening the year-round communities of the Lower and Outer Cape.
A fitting backdrop for the celebration, Truro Vineyards has its own history with the organization. The vineyard was among the businesses that benefited from the CDP’s microloan program, which helped transform the family-owned operation into one of Cape Cod’s premier destinations. Organizers say the venue reflects the organization’s long-standing commitment to supporting local entrepreneurs through access to financing, technical assistance, and community partnerships.
The evening will feature remarks from community members whose lives have been impacted by the CDP, stories highlighting the organization’s work across the region, and a special Fund-a-Need appeal to support future programs.
Funds raised during the event will help advance the CDP’s mission of strengthening the Lower and Outer Cape’s year-round economy by expanding affordable housing opportunities, providing homeownership education and counseling, supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses, and working with regional partners to address community challenges.
