BOSTON–BOND Building Construction, Inc. has been recognized as one of the safest construction companies in the United States, earning a top honor from the Associated General Contractors of America as part of its 2025 Construction Safety Excellence Awards.
The annual awards program highlights companies with outstanding safety and health programs across the construction industry. BOND received a first-place award in the building division for firms logging between 250,000 and 650,000 work hours, placing it among 22 top winners nationwide across multiple categories.
In total, 63 companies were recognized this year for their commitment to occupational safety, health management, and risk control. Winners were selected by a panel of five independent safety professionals and finalized during the association’s annual convention in Orlando, Florida.
“These awards spotlight the companies that are not just improving safety—they are defining what excellence looks like for the entire construction industry,” said Trey Pebley, the association’s national senior vice president and chief administrative officer at Foremost Paving. “Their leadership sets the pace for others to follow.”
The Construction Safety Excellence Awards evaluate firms based on a range of criteria, including leadership commitment, hazard identification, employee training, and overall safety performance. According to AGC, the program aims to promote continuous improvement and recognize companies that integrate safety as a core operational value.
Industry leaders emphasized that the recognition reflects a broader shift toward proactive safety culture within construction. “The Construction Safety Excellence Awards highlight the very best of our industry—organizations that view safety not as a requirement, but as a core value,” said Jon Oppenheim, Head of North America Construction at WTW. He added that partners like WTW and Starr are committed to supporting companies that are “raising the bar for safety and risk management.”
The honor underscores BOND’s position as a leader in construction safety practices, at a time when the industry continues to focus on reducing workplace injuries and improving jobsite conditions nationwide.
