HOPKINTON, Mass. — Solect Energy has officially opened a new headquarters at 87 Hayden Rowe Street in Hopkinton, marking a significant milestone in the company’s growth as a provider of commercial and public-sector solar and energy storage solutions.
The new facility is designed to support the company’s expanding workforce and foster greater collaboration across departments, including engineering, development, operations, and business teams. Company leaders say the modern workspace will enable more in-person interaction, helping to streamline complex project development and delivery.
“Our new headquarters reflects an important milestone for Solect and the continued growth of our team,” said CEO John Bodt. “Our best work happens when our people are together collaborating, sharing ideas, and advancing clean energy solutions for our customers.”
The headquarters underscores Solect’s broader strategy of investing in its workforce, improving operational efficiency, and strengthening its position in the growing clean energy market. As part of Pattern Energy, the company is aiming to expand its reach throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.
Executive Chairman and co-founder Ken Driscoll emphasized the company’s long-term commitment to Massachusetts, citing the state’s supportive policies for renewable energy as a key factor in its continued growth.
Founded in 2009, Solect Energy has remained headquartered in Hopkinton and continues to deepen its ties to the local community. The company employs approximately 125 people, many of whom are based at the new headquarters. Its Construction and Services operations will continue at a separate South Street facility in town.
To date, Solect has completed more than 900 solar projects totaling over 185 megawatts of capacity, serving municipalities, schools, businesses, and nonprofit organizations across New England. The company has earned recognition from the Boston Business Journal as one of the top 10 clean energy employers in Massachusetts, as well as from Solar Power World as a leading commercial solar developer in the United States.
Despite recent uncertainty in federal renewable energy policy, company leaders say demand for solar and energy storage remains strong, particularly in states like Massachusetts where policy support continues to drive adoption.
Solect plans to celebrate the opening of its new headquarters with a series of events for employees, partners, and customers in the coming months.
