BOSTON Suffolk has expanded its aviation and transportation leadership team with the hiring of aviation construction veteran Emery Molnar as chief operating officer of West Coast Aviation and the promotion of Sam Sleiman to national president of transportation.

The company said the leadership changes are part of a broader strategy to strengthen its aviation platform amid growing airport modernization and infrastructure opportunities nationwide, particularly across the West Coast.

Based in Suffolk’s Los Angeles office, Molnar will oversee aviation operations and project execution throughout the western United States while supporting business development efforts in one of the country’s most active aviation construction markets.

In his new role, Molnar will report to Sleiman, who will continue overseeing Suffolk’s expanding national aviation portfolio and transportation strategy while focusing on client partnerships, innovation initiatives, and infrastructure growth opportunities.

Suffolk said Molnar brings decades of experience managing large-scale airport projects and operational teams across major aviation programs nationwide.

“The aviation market continues to present tremendous opportunity, particularly on the West Coast, where airports are modernizing infrastructure and investing in long-term growth,” Sleiman said in a statement. “Bringing Emery onto the team is an important investment in our ability to scale strategically, strengthen regional leadership, and continue delivering exceptional results for aviation clients nationwide.”

Molnar said increasing complexity in aviation infrastructure projects is driving demand for experienced construction and development partners.

“I’m excited to join Suffolk at a time when aviation clients are demanding smarter solutions, operational excellence, and trusted partners capable of delivering increasingly complex projects,” Molnar said. “Suffolk’s integrated approach, innovation mindset, and growing national aviation platform create a strong foundation for continued expansion across the West Coast and beyond.”

Sleiman was recently named chair of the National Academy of Construction, further strengthening Suffolk’s leadership presence within the transportation and infrastructure sectors.

Suffolk has continued expanding its aviation portfolio nationally through projects with Signature Aviation, the world’s largest network of private aviation terminals. Suffolk currently serves as Signature Aviation’s national design-build partner and is managing projects at six airports across the country, including Boston Logan International Airport and Washington Dulles International Airport.

The company’s aviation portfolio also includes the Terminal E Modernization project at Logan Airport, Phase 2 of the terminal expansion at Southwest Florida International Airport, the Concourse B expansion at Palm Beach International Airport, and an electric Central Utility Plant project at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.
