BOSTON — Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston will continue its Lunch & Learn series on Tuesday, June 2, with a virtual program focused on workplace language training for construction professionals and supervisors.
The event, titled “English for Construction Workers & Spanish for Supervisors,” will take place at noon via Zoom. Registration is free for BRAGB members, with meeting access information provided upon registration confirmation.
The session will feature WorkLingua, a company focused on language instruction and workforce communication tools tailored to construction and trade industries.
According to organizers, the presentation will provide an overview of WorkLingua’s employee language benefits program, including specialized instruction for English as a Second Language workers and Spanish-language training designed for supervisors and managers.
The program will also highlight the company’s AI-powered learning platform, which combines live teacher instruction with mobile language-learning tools and industry-specific training resources.
Additional topics will include on-demand HR support services such as employee onboarding assistance, translation services, and learning management systems designed to help employers attract, retain, and advance multilingual employees.
The presentation will be led by Zane Varvel, co-founder and CEO of WorkLingua. Organizers said Varvel developed the program after learning Spanish during the pandemic and later teaching English to members of his own staff to help support career advancement opportunities.
During the session, Varvel is expected to demonstrate the company’s learning technology and introduce one of WorkLingua’s native-language instructors.
