The 416-unit development completes Greystar’s $880 million investment in Everett, bringing five mixed-use communities and 1,905 apartments to the city’s evolving neighborhood.
EVERETT, Mass.— Greystar has welcomed the first residents to Juniper, a 416-unit apartment community at 201 Mill Road in Everett, marking the completion of the developer’s fifth and final residential project in the Everett Triangle.
The new community adds 416 apartments and 6,500 square feet of retail space to the area, completing the Vale Street development corridor and advancing the transformation of a former industrial district into a connected, mixed-use neighborhood. The five Greystar developments represent a combined $880 million investment in Everett and have delivered 1,905 apartment homes.
“ We are excited to welcome Juniper’s first residents as we celebrate this important milestone for our Everett portfolio and for the evolution of the broader Everett Triangle into a complete, connected residential neighborhood,” said Ryan Souls, managing director of development at Greystar.
Souls credited the City of Everett for its continued partnership in reshaping the area and expanding housing options. He said the project reflects the company’s approach to placemaking through residential design, green space and retail amenities.
Amenities and residential features
Juniper offers studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, supported by more than 15,000 square feet of amenity space. The community includes nearly an acre of green space, with outdoor recreation features such as a pickleball court, dog park, bocce court and nine-hole miniature golf course.
Additional amenities include a fitness suite, community pet spa, swimming pool, private courtyards, outdoor grills, firepits and a community garden. The property is designed to support year-round gathering and outdoor activities.
Apartment interiors feature large-pane windows, modern kitchens with quartz countertops, built-in pantry storage and in-unit washers and dryers.
The development is located approximately half a mile from the Chelsea MBTA station, providing access to the Silver Line and Commuter Rail. Residents can connect to Boston’s North and South stations, the Seaport district and several bus routes.
Final phase of Everett Triangle redevelopment
Juniper completes Greystar’s five-community development program in Everett. The other projects include Jade, which welcomed its first residents in June 2025; Maxwell, which began move-ins in December 2024; Anthem Everett, which delivered 450 units in summer 2024; and Mason, which opened in 2023 with 330 units.
Together, the five communities have introduced 1,905 new apartments, along with green space, parks, improved pedestrian access and retail space. The projects have helped reshape the Everett Triangle into a residential destination with a mix of housing, outdoor amenities and neighborhood-serving businesses.
Public art adds community character
Greystar has also partnered with Mary Lacy to curate artwork for Juniper, reflecting the developer’s focus on arts and community connection. The property currently features two interior murals, with an additional exterior mural planned for installation in summer 2027.
The public art program adds another element to the community’s design and placemaking strategy as the broader Everett Triangle continues to evolve.
Greystar expands Massachusetts portfolio
Juniper’s opening adds to Greystar’s growing residential portfolio across Massachusetts, where the company has developed more than 2,000 housing units to date.
The firm’s other recent activity in the state includes a demolition ceremony for its 390-unit Whittenton Mills development in Taunton, a groundbreaking for an 189-unit multifamily project at 100 West Street in Needham, and the delivery of student housing in partnership with Merrimack College.
