BOSTON— As Boston steps into the global spotlight in 2026, Boston Seaport by WS Development is launching its most ambitious summer season yet, transforming the waterfront neighborhood into a dynamic destination for culture, community, wellness, dining, and entertainment.

With an expansive lineup of seasonal activations, free public programming, outdoor experiences, and community events, the Seaport is set to become one of the city’s premier summer gathering places for both residents and visitors.

“2026 is a defining year for Boston, and Seaport is playing an important role in how the city shows up on a global stage,” said Ariel Foxman. “Our focus has always been on creating places people want to be, and this summer is an expression of that at scale. From everyday moments to major cultural events, we are building an environment where community, creativity, and connection come together in a way that reflects the best of Boston.”

As the city welcomes international visitors and major events throughout the year, the Seaport’s 2026 summer programming reflects the energy and momentum of the moment. The neighborhood will feature free fitness classes, open-air markets, immersive retail experiences, waterfront dining, family-friendly entertainment, and community-focused activities designed to activate public spaces all season long.

From morning wellness sessions and outdoor shopping to evening gatherings along the waterfront, Boston Seaport aims to offer an inclusive and engaging summer experience that celebrates the city’s creativity, diversity, and vibrant urban culture.

WELLNESS & FITNESS

SEAPORT SWEAT
Now through September 30, 2026
Monday – Thursday on Seaport Common | Saturdays on Harbor Way 

Boston’s largest free outdoor workout series returns for its 11th season with more than 100 classes spanning yoga, HIIT, Pilates, strength training, and dance cardio. Sponsored by Mass General Brigham Health Plan and NOBULL, weekday classes take place on Seaport Common, while Saturday classes move to Harbor Way for the first time, expanding the waterfront fitness experience.

The season culminates with the second annual Sweatapalooza on September 12, a high-energy fitness festival featuring top instructors, live DJs, and brand activations.

STRETCH AND THE CITY

Summer Street Steps

This weekly outdoor yoga series, presented by Lifeway Kefir, offers a mid-day reset in the heart of the neighborhood, complete with complimentary wellness samples following each class.

New for 2026, Ballers Boston, the city’s first padel and pickleball club, brings a dynamic social sports experience to the heart of Seaport. The 30,000 square foot venue features three padel courts, five pickleball courts, and a full-service outdoor bar and café.

July 11–16, 2026

This Summer, Boston will host Sail Boston 2026, a premier maritime celebration marking the 250th anniversary of the United States. The multi-day event will bring dozens of international tall ships to Boston Harbor, with vessels docked in both Seaport and the Charlestown Navy Yard.

Led by local artist Lee “SOEMS” and featuring rotating guest instructors, each session includes guided exercises, live music, and all materials provided, making it easy for anyone to join and create.

Splendoria isn’t just a floral installation, it’s a full courtyard moment. Draped across The Superette, this larger-than-life floral fantasy is where summer comes to life. Think beautifully curated sculptural blooms and enough selfie-worthy corners to fill your camera roll. On the last Saturday of every month, Seaport Insider VIPs can pick up a floral bouquet at Splendoria, the floral installation located at The Superette.
