BOSTON—Boston Real Estate Times today announced that it will host Boston’s P3 Academic & Student Housing Conference on Dec. 5, 2024, at Burlington Marriott Hotel in Burlington, MA.

Boston Real Estate Times also called for abstracts of P3 (Public-Private Partnership) papers, which will be published in both print and online editions—if selected. The authors may be also invited to speak at Boston’s P3 Academic & Student Housing Symposium 2024. Email your abstracts to: [email protected].

Those who are not familiar with P3, such projects are long-term contracts that allow the public and private sector to participate in the design, construction, financing, operation, and maintenance of a project, now widely used in the academic sector, including student housing, across New England.

“We’re very excited to launch our conference series for the remainder of the year and for the year 2025,” said Upendra Mishra, publisher of the Boston Real Estate Times and its sister publication, Life Sciences Times. “Although P3 has been increasingly playing an important role in projects ranging from public infrastructure to airports and healthcare, our 2024 P3 symposium will focus on academic and student housing facilities, providing insights into partnership trends and sectors to watch in 2025 and beyond.”

Attendees will learn the following:

  • Growth areas.
  • Where are the P3 opportunities in New England?
  • What universities and colleges need for facilities?
  • Financing of P3 projects
  • Design and construction challenges, among others.
