Brookline, MA— The Newbury of Brookline, a distinguished new addition to Kisco Senior Living’s Signature portfolio, officially celebrated its grand opening this spring with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and an immersive, community-wide tour.

Nestled in the historic Fisher Hill neighborhood, the senior living community welcomed members and guests to explore its offerings through a thoughtfully curated, hands-on experience.

Attendees were guided through The Newbury’s expansive campus with custom-designed passports in hand, each stop offering a glimpse into the elevated lifestyle and hospitality that defines the community. Culinary stations featured refined bites such as lamb lollipops, shrimp cocktail, and New England clam chowder shots, while mocktails—including a playful “Patty Colada” named after a cherished resident—reflected the personal touches that are central to the resident experience.

The event provided guests a firsthand look at the community’s design, amenities, and wellness-focused approach. Located on nearly four acres on the former site of Newbury College, The Newbury is situated in one of New England’s most historically significant neighborhoods, originally planned in 1884 by famed landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted.

Frances Bates, general manager of The Newbury, noted that the event was about more than showcasing the architecture and amenities. It was a chance to demonstrate the community’s mission of fostering meaningful connections and supporting the holistic wellbeing of its members. With a full continuum of care—including Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care—The Newbury offers both flexibility and security for residents at every stage of life.

The community reflects Kisco Senior Living’s Art of Living Well® philosophy, which emphasizes wellness across intellectual, physical, and emotional dimensions. Signature features include a rooftop bar, a solar-heated indoor saltwater pool, and a state-of-the-art wellness center, all designed to promote active, engaged living in a safe and supportive environment.

Andy Kohlberg, president and CEO of Kisco Senior Living, thanked attendees and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to quality and innovation in senior living. The Newbury is Kisco’s second Signature Community in the Northeast, following The Carnegie at Washingtonian Center in Maryland, and joins a national portfolio that includes standout properties such as Crestavilla in California and The Cardinal at North Hills in North Carolina.
