NASHVILLE, Tenn.—The Fallon Company announced the expansion of its executive team with the appointment of Shawn Seaman as Chief Development Officer. With more than two decades of experience in mixed-use real estate development, urban planning, and architecture, Seaman will oversee the company’s large-scale development projects and drive continued excellence across The Fallon Company’s national footprint.

As part of his 20+-year tenure at Hoffman & Associates, Seaman served as the project director for The Wharf in Washington, D.C., and was instrumental in leading the $2.5 billion, 3.2-million-square-foot waterfront development through all phases, from design and entitlements to financing and execution. Under Seaman’s leadership, The Wharf earned the ULI Global Award of Excellence, solidifying its place as one of the world’s premier mixed-use developments.

“Shawn brings exceptional expertise in managing large-scale, complex projects, positioning him as an invaluable addition to our leadership team,” said Michael Fallon, CEO of The Fallon Company. “His proven track record leading award-winning developments like The Wharf in Washington, D.C. demonstrates the strategic vision and precision he brings to every endeavor.”

Seaman will leverage his experience at The Wharf in his work at The Fallon Company, overseeing the execution of the firm’s portfolio of large-scale, mixed-use projects, including the East Bank development in Nashville. In 2024, The Fallon Company was designated as the Master Developer of Nashville’s East Bank development – a multi-billion dollar, 30-acre, public-private initiative that will transform the city’s waterfront into a dynamic urban neighborhood featuring residential, commercial, hospitality, retail, and public spaces.

“I am honored to join The Fallon Company and contribute to its legacy of delivering transformative mixed-use developments,” said Seaman. “The company’s reputation for excellence and its focus on enhancing quality of life while driving economic growth align deeply with my professional values. I look forward to collaborating with the team to deliver impactful projects across its portfolio.”

Seaman’s appointment reflects The Fallon Company’s long-term investment in Nashville, where he will be based. In addition to his integral role in the East Bank development, Seaman will lend his leadership experience to the firm’s projects in key markets, including Boston, Charlotte, and Raleigh.

“The East Bank is a cornerstone project for The Fallon Company and a transformative opportunity for Nashville,” said Ben Farrer, Managing Director, Nashville at The Fallon Company. “Shawn’s expertise in managing large-scale, complex developments further strengthens our ability to deliver a neighborhood that reflects Nashville’s vision for opportunity and inclusivity while creating lasting benefits for the community.”

Most recently, Seaman served as President of Hoffman & Associates, where he oversaw acquisitions, development initiatives, and market expansion, including opening an office in Raleigh, North Carolina. Seaman is a registered architect in Florida and Washington, D.C., and a LEED AP certified professional. He holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Miami and a master’s degree in architecture and urban design from the University of Pennsylvania, where he also earned a certificate in real estate design and development.
