Medford, MA – BOND Building Construction, Inc., a leading construction management firm based in Medford, Massachusetts, has been named one of the nation’s safest construction companies for 2024, receiving top honors in the prestigious Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) Construction Safety Excellence Awards (CSEA).
The company earned first place in the Construction Management Division for firms logging 450,000 to 1 million work hours, standing out among hundreds of applicants nationwide. The AGC’s CSEA program recognizes construction firms that develop and implement exceptional safety and health management programs while maintaining exemplary safety records.
BOND Building was one of 23 companies awarded first-place distinctions across six major divisions, highlighting the organization’s dedication to a culture of safety and risk control.
“Through these awards, we are seeking to identify the most effective tactics companies are using to address and improve construction safety and health,” said Todd Roberts, president of AGC and ERS Inc. in Jackson, Mississippi. “By finding and honoring these safety and health solutions, we hope to encourage other firms to explore and adopt them as appropriate.”
A panel of five independent industry safety experts selected the winners based on their commitment to occupational health, employee training programs, management involvement, and innovative practices that reduce workplace risks. Final judging was conducted during AGC’s annual convention in Columbus, Ohio.
Matt Curtis, Vice President at Starr Companies, one of the program’s sponsors, praised the efforts of all winners: “WTW and Starr are proud to continue as sponsors of the AGC CSEA. It is important that we recognize those who go above and beyond to put their employees’ safety and wellbeing first.”
In total, 67 companies were honored for excellence in construction safety this year, reflecting a growing industry-wide emphasis on protecting workers and promoting proactive safety cultures.
BOND Building Construction’s recognition reaffirms its role as a leader not only in construction management but also in safeguarding the people who make each project possible.
