NEWTON, MA– National Development announced the addition of two new Senior Vice Presidents, Don Briggs and Charlie Rollins, to its Development group.
Don Briggs comes to National Development from Eastern Real Estate where he was Managing Director – Real Estate. Prior to Eastern, Don held senior management positions at Federal Realty Investment Trust and Urban Edge Properties leading multi-disciplined teams and a multi-billion-dollar development pipeline, completing over $5 billion of development for some of the largest and most iconic mixed-use projects in the country including Assembly Row in Somerville, multiple phases of Bethesda Row in Bethesda, MD and Santana Row in San Jose, CA.
Don is a graduate of the University of Florida where he earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture. He has been very active in real estate organizations and the business community both locally and nationally, serving as the District and Governance Chair for ULI Boston, on the Advisory Board for NAIOP, and as a Director for the Cambridge Trust Company. He initially will be serving as the project executive for the Iron Works development project in South Boston and will also be involved in new project initiation.
Charlie Rollins has extensive experience in the design and construction of complex, mixed-use development projects in New England and throughout the East Coast. In his most recent position, Charlie was responsible for managing Suffolk Construction’s operation in the Florida/Southeast market. Prior to that, he oversaw Water Street Tampa, a transformative $3.5 billion mixed-use development in downtown Tampa while a project executive for developer Strategic Property Partners. His prior positions include a senior construction and development role in Boston at Samuels & Associates.
Charlie’s initial assignment will be the construction management of two, 1.2+ million SF logistics buildings in East Hartford, CT.
