BOSTON – The Boston Real Estate Times announced that Dr. Luciana Burdi, Chief Infrastructure Officer for Capital Programs at the Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport), will be the featured keynote speaker at the Boston Real Estate Project Delivery Conference, taking place on May 22, 2025, at the Burlington Marriott Hotel in Burlington, MA.

With a career defined by innovation, leadership, and transformation in public infrastructure, Dr. Burdi brings unmatched insight to this year’s conference theme: “Building Forward: Innovative Real Estate Project Delivery in Challenging Times.”

As the driving force behind Massport’s Capital Investment Program, Dr. Burdi oversees the development and modernization of critical infrastructure across Logan International Airport, Worcester Regional Airport, Hanscom Field, Flynn Cruiseport Terminal, Conley Container Terminal, and other key real estate assets. Her vision is rooted in leveraging technology, sustainable practices, and workforce development to create resilient, future-ready infrastructure.

In her role at Massport, Dr. Burdi leads a multidisciplinary team responsible for environmental permitting, safety programs, utility management, and the integration of advanced design technologies. Under her guidance, Capital Programs has adopted cutting-edge tools like Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) to streamline coordination, reduce risk, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

About Dr. Luciana Burdi

Dr. Burdi’s leadership has earned widespread recognition, including her induction into the National Academy of Construction (2023) and the 2024 CMAA New England Person of the Year Award. Her other accolades include the BSCES Honorary Member Award, AIA-BSA Women in Design Award, and national honors from the Construction Management Association of America for innovation, sustainability, and new technologies in project delivery.

A graduate of Harvard University with a Doctorate in Design, Dr. Burdi also holds a Master’s degree from IUAV in Venice and was a SPURS Fellow at MIT. She serves on advisory boards at Northeastern University, the Lean Construction Institute, and the National Institute of Building Sciences.
