Knox Financial Hires Vice Presidents of User Design and Experience, Engineering, and Marketing

Investment property company has grown its staff by more than 30% in 2021

BOSTON- Knox Financial, a fintech company for property investors, announced that it has expanded its leadership team. Knox now employs more than 30 people — growing its staff by more than 30%, with key hires across departments in 2021.

“Knox is changing how people from all walks of life build wealth through investment property, and over the last two years has emerged as one of the largest fintech companies for property investors in the U.S.,” said David Friedman, CEO of Knox Financial. “As our team grows, we will launch the Knox Frictionless Ownership Platform in new cities, and continue to use technology, data, and unique financing products to deliver an effortless wealth building experience for families who are moving and want to hold onto their homes as long-term investments.”

Knox launched in 2019, and is now operational in seven metropolitan areas across the United States. The company is currently overseeing a portfolio of more than $100M in investment properties. Knox’s newest leadership hires include:

Jimmy Ellis, Vice President of Marketing: Ellis brings to Knox more than two decades of experience developing marketing programs through testing and optimization. Prior to joining Knox, Ellis served as director of performance marketing for Fracture, where he was responsible for budget management and optimization of performance marketing channels. Previously, Ellis served as co-founder of Prospecting Hub, director of optimization research for MarketingExperiments.com, and director of marketing for EMS Computing.

Vinay Gode, Vice President of Engineering: With 15 years of experience spanning infrastructure, dev-ops, machine learning, and full-stack development, Gode will lead the engineering team in scaling the Knox Frictionless Ownership Platform. Gode comes to Knox from Bynde, Inc., where he served as chief technology officer (CTO). Previous roles included founder and technical architect of VESPO, and co-founder and CTO of Shift Dash. Previously, Gode worked as a senior software engineer for Verizon Wireless, and Kenandy, Inc..

Julie Jensen, Vice President of Product Design and Experience: Jensen is a world-leading expert in user experience (UX), having demonstrated success in leading UX strategy and implementation at multiple Fortune 500 companies over the last 20 years. Previously, Jensen held head of UX roles at Frost Bank, Capital One, and Amazon. Jensen also served as principal UX manager for Microsoft, where she established the usability engineering process for Microsoft cloud services and Office 365.

In addition to bringing on three vice presidents in 2021, Knox has promoted Thahn Vo to serve as the company’s Head of Operations. Prior to joining Knox, Vo was senior manager of operations for Grubhub, where she scaled internal systems and the external driver network to handle unprecedented food delivery growth. Previously, Vo worked as a senior project manager for McKesson, and a program manager for Amazon.

Knox also recently opened its new headquarters at 177 Newbury Street, where people can meet the Knox team, and see how Knox uses technology, data, and expertise to optimize financial returns for investment property owners.
