BOSTON- Freudenheim Partners announced the sale of 52 Church Street, in Boston’s Historic Bay Village neighborhood. The 13,000-SF 2-story stand-alone office building was purchased by UNITE HERE Local 26 for $5,900,000 ($454/SF).

Local 26, a union representing workers in the hospitality industries of Massachusetts and Rhode Island, plans to occupy and use the building as their Boston Headquarters.

52 Church Street is located in Bay Village, bordering the Back Bay. The location also offers
convenient access to a variety of transportation options providing flexible commuting options.

Leigh Freudenheim and Ellie Cullinan negotiated the purchase of the building on behalf of the seller, 52 Church Street Realty, LLC, and procured the buyer, UNITE HERE Local 26.

“UNITE HERE Local 26 was the perfect user for the building,” said Freudenheim. “The new
location for this hospitality focused union will be great for the neighborhood.”

Cullinan added “the location could not be a better fit for the union given all the work they do in the surrounding hotels.”

“It was great working with FP,” said 52 Church Street Realty, LLC. “Leigh and Ellie were professional, knowledgeable, and accommodating. They listened to our ideas and needs, and they provided us with various alternatives to facilitate the building sale in a changing market.”

52 Church Street Realty LLC is a privately owned real estate company that owned and managed the building on 52 Church Street for approximately 30+ years primarily for their related family business.

UNITE HERE Local 26 represents workers in the hospitality industries of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Their members work in Boston and Providence’s best hotels, restaurants, and university dining halls in addition to the Boston Convention Centers, Fenway Park and Logan International Airport. They clean hotel rooms, greet guests, and prepare and serve food for hundreds of thousands of travelers to Boston and the northeast.
