SARASOTA, Fla.–Suffolk is expanding its Florida Gulf Coast presence to support existing work and cultivate future growth in Sarasota. Suffolk’s strategic hiring of Sarasota-based leadership will help Suffolk meet the growing demand for projects in the aviation, K-12 and higher education, healthcare, residential and hospitality sectors.

By diversifying the local portfolio in these growing sectors, Suffolk brings years of experience to the market to tailor to the unique needs and objectives of Sarasota clients.

Recently recognized as the second fastest growing region in the United States for 2023-2024 by U.S. News Real Estate, Sarasota County is prime for development, and Suffolk is at the center of new construction with well-known projects including Aster & Links at 1991 Main Street, a mixed-use project on which Suffolk partnered with Belpointe OZ to build two apartment towers bringing 424 residences to the area.

“Suffolk is recognized for its strong and diverse national portfolio that includes some of the most complex projects in the country,” said Andrew Pierce, Vice President of Operations in Suffolk’s Tampa region. “The company’s commitment to and investment in technology, innovation and its people is setting the standard for operational excellence throughout every project and every stage of the building lifecycle.”

Leading Suffolk projects in Sarasota is Project Executive Brian Stathers, a 12-year industry veteran with a passion for innovation and a proven track record of lasting strategic growth.

“Our Sarasota team is largely made up of individuals hailing from the local workforce, and we are proud to contribute to the continuous growth of Sarasota by nurturing relationships with both clients and the community, further stimulating economic development,” said Mr. Stathers.

Committed to providing clients with comprehensive, end-to-end solutions, Suffolk leverages its core construction management competency while providing vertical service lines such as real estate development funding, self-perform, technology R&D and investment, and design-assist services.

Suffolk is closing the gap along the Gulf Coast with signature projects to the south, including Great Wolf Lodge in Naples and Sunseeker Resort in Charlotte Harbor, and to the north with the Residences at 400 Central in St. Petersburg and a project with Gateway Jax in Jacksonville.
