BOSTON — In a strategic move aimed at reinforcing its East Coast presence and expanding its design capabilities, global architecture and design firm Corgan has announced its acquisition of Dyer Brown & Associates, a 56-year-old Boston-based firm known for its diverse interiors portfolio and client-focused approach.
The acquisition marks a significant milestone for both firms, bringing together two organizations with shared values, complementary expertise, and a people-first philosophy. Corgan, ranked as the fourth largest architecture and design firm in the U.S., adds the Boston office to its established locations in New York and Washington, D.C., further enhancing its reach along the Eastern Seaboard.
“This partnership was driven by more than just strategy—it’s about cultural and creative alignment,” said Scott Ruch, CEO of Corgan. “Both firms share a belief in the power of design, a commitment to client relationships, and a people-first culture. We’re excited about what we’ll accomplish together.”
Corgan, founded 87 years ago, has grown to over 1,200 employees operating across 19 offices in the U.S., UK, Ireland, and Singapore. Its portfolio spans sectors including aviation, data centers, healthcare, and corporate interiors—where it holds top rankings nationally. Dyer Brown’s team of nearly 30 employees, including its principals, will continue operations under the Corgan name, bringing their deep experience in workplace, hospitality, healthcare, and retail design into the fold.
“For us, this is more than an acquisition—it’s a values match,” said Brent Zeigler, President and Principal at Dyer Brown. “Corgan’s global platform creates new opportunities for our team and our clients while allowing us to continue doing the work we love.”
The merger significantly boosts Corgan’s workplace interiors practice, aligning with growing demand for thoughtful, employee-centered environments. Both firms have a track record of repeat business, reflecting strong client relationships and consistent design quality.
“By joining forces, we are amplifying our workplace practice—bringing together deep expertise in strategy, design, and delivery to create environments that elevate employee experience and reflect the evolving role of workplaces today,” said Lindsay Wilson, President, Principal, and Interiors Sector Leader at Corgan.
As workplace needs continue to evolve post-pandemic, the combined firm is poised to lead in crafting environments that are not only functional but also foster innovation, collaboration, and well-being.
The acquisition signals Corgan’s continued commitment to growth through thoughtful partnerships and reinforces its position as a global leader in architecture and design.
