Boston – Avison Young’s Boston office announced that is has negotiated a new 121,623-square-foot (sf) lease for leading interior finishings manufacturer and distributor Metrie at 301 Bartlett Street in Northborough, MA. Metrie previously occupied 58,123 sf at the building before committing to an additional 65,000 sf to accommodate its expansions needs.
Avison Young Senior Vice President Bill Sullivan and Vice President Jon Pezzoni represented Metrie in the negotiations in collaboration with Matt Walker, a Principal based in the firm’s Vancouver office. The landlord was represented by Colliers International.
“The Greater Boston industrial sector’s market fundamentals remain strong as the demand for premium high-bay buildings continues, driven by manufacturing companies, life sciences and other logistics users,” said Sullivan. “By expanding its operations at 301 Bartlett Street, Metrie will be equipped with high-quality space that supports its growing manufacturing needs while stimulating the local economy through job creation.”
Metrie will begin occupying its expanded space in October 2021, which the company will utilize for office, manufacturing, storage and distribution.
