The newly promoted vice presidents are Zach Chornyak, PE; Dan Holmes, PE, LEED AP; and Jason Urso, PE.

Chornyak, who has been with the firm for more than 19 years, has been named vice president in the Water Business Line. He brings extensive experience across both horizontal and vertical infrastructure projects and has led complex, multidisciplinary work spanning all of the firm’s business lines. His project portfolio includes the rehabilitation of the historic Bridge of Flowers in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts, flood station rehabilitations for multiple communities, and capital planning and asset management initiatives.

Zach Chornyak

In addition to his project work, Chornyak serves as a client manager for communities throughout Western Massachusetts and New York, a resource manager for teams in Western Massachusetts, and an advisory member to the firm’s board of directors. He is also active in several industry organizations, including the Massachusetts Municipal Association and the New England Water Environment Association, and is a past president of the Western Massachusetts Water Works Association.

Holmes, a vice president in the Transportation sector, brings more than 20 years of professional experience, including nearly 19 years at Tighe & Bond. His work focuses on the planning, evaluation, design, and construction of public and private transportation projects. A licensed professional engineer in Massachusetts and Connecticut and a LEED Accredited Professional, Holmes has expertise in transportation infrastructure, roadways, culverts and bridges, public utilities, and civil and site engineering.

Dan Holmes

Holmes serves as business development leader for the Transportation sector in the firm’s Westfield office and is actively involved in industry and municipal organizations, including the American Public Works Association, the Tri-County Highway Superintendents Association, and as chairman of his local Water Pollution Control Authority.

Urso, who has been with Tighe & Bond for nearly 14 years and has more than 23 years of industry experience, has been promoted to vice president in the Building Services Business Line. He oversees a significant portfolio of projects and serves as client service manager for two of the firm’s largest building services clients. As mechanical resource manager and a longtime member of the firm’s Quality Management Committee, Urso has played a key role in maintaining quality standards across project delivery, proposal development, and the firm’s mechanical and HVAC engineering practice.

Urso has been active with ASHRAE for more than a decade, serving in committee roles at the local, regional, and national levels. His contributions have been recognized with multiple awards, and he has also traveled internationally, including to Sri Lanka, to provide training to ASHRAE committee members.
