BOSTON— The Bulfinch Companies, Inc., a commercial real estate, management, and investment firm, has announced the appointment of Emily Simard as Vice President of Leasing. Simard brings 15 years of experience in office, medical office, life science, and retail leasing in Boston and New York.
In her new role, Simard will work alongside Mike Wilcox, Managing Director of Leasing, to support Bulfinch’s leasing strategy across its portfolio. She will focus on driving occupancy and tenant retention, securing top-tier tenants, and shaping dynamic environments that enhance long-term asset value.
“Adding Emily as Vice President of Leasing reflects our commitment to building a best-in-class leasing platform,” said Eric Schlager, CEO of Bulfinch. “Paired with Mike Wilcox, we have the talent, drive, and creativity to accelerate leasing activity across our office, medical office, retail, and flex portfolio.”
Wilcox added, “Emily’s track record of executing complex lease-ups and attracting high-quality tenants to transformative developments makes her a valuable addition to the Bulfinch team. Her expertise across the brokerage community and experience with multiple market types will be invaluable as we continue to grow and evolve our portfolio.”
Simard previously served as Senior Leasing Manager at Samuels & Associates, managing more than 1.15 million square feet of leases across office, medical, life science, and retail properties in Fenway, Back Bay, South Boston, Hingham, and Delray Beach. Her work included attracting tenants such as The LEGO Group, Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, and Boston Children’s Hospital, as well as activating mixed-use environments with retail brands including Bartaco, Solidcore, Pressed Juicery, and Ten One Tea.
“Bulfinch has a long history of thoughtful development and stewardship of some of Greater Boston’s most recognizable properties,” said Simard. “I’m excited to join a team that is deeply committed to shaping vibrant places and to help advance leasing strategies that support both tenant success and long-term portfolio growth.”
Simard holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Lehigh University and is a licensed real estate salesperson in Massachusetts. She is active in CREW Boston and NAIOP, serving on the CREW Golf Committee and the NAIOP Program & Education Committee.
