HYANNIS, MA–A Hyannis shopping plaza that used to feature a Whole Foods Market grocery story has sold for $44.1 million to a Maryland real estate company, the Cape Cod Times reported.
The properties — 65 Independence Drive and 990 Iyannough Road — were bought by Continental Realty Corporation in a sale recorded on Jan. 9, reported the Cape Cod Times, citing the Barnstable County Registry of Deeds.
Continental Realty Corporation is a full-service commercial real estate and investment company focused on acquiring and operating retail and multifamily properties. The privately held firm owns and manages a diversified portfolio of retail centers consisting of approximately eight million square feet of commercial space and more than 10,000 apartment homes across 12 states, with a portfolio value exceeding $4 billion.
In 2022, Dallas-based Bandera Ventures bought the plaza for $61.7 million from Boston Wilder Co., the Cape Cod Times reported.
