BOSTON— Skanska has appointed Jason Cheney as a Program Director within Skanska’s Integrated Solutions (SIS) group, strengthening the company’s owner-focused project management capabilities across New England and New Hampshire.

Cheney brings more than 20 years of industry experience, with a background spanning construction leadership, business development and preconstruction management. In his new role, he will provide comprehensive Owner’s Project Management services, supporting public and private clients in K–12 education, healthcare, manufacturing, and higher education markets. He will be responsible for guiding complex capital programs and helping institutional partners achieve high-performing project outcomes.

“Jason’s proven expertise in project delivery and preconstruction leadership will help us strengthen existing client relationships while opening doors in new markets,” said Dale Caldwell, senior vice president at Skanska. “His leadership will be key in delivering complex projects and driving long-term success for our clients and our teams.”

An accomplished construction and business development leader, Cheney has overseen multimillion-dollar programs across healthcare, higher education, clinical, and municipal sectors. His experience includes managing project delivery, preconstruction, revenue forecasting, and strategic client development, as well as overseeing P&L performance, staffing, and executive-level reporting.

Throughout his career, Cheney has played a pivotal role in opening new regional markets and building long-term partnerships with major healthcare systems and educational institutions. He has led teams delivering master planning, estimating, value engineering, and constructability services, contributing to successful outcomes on complex capital projects.

Prior to joining Skanska, Cheney held senior leadership roles including Project Director at CSL Consulting LLC, Director of Business Development at Engelberth Construction Inc., Preconstruction Manager at Trumbull-Nelson Construction, and Project Executive at Taocon Inc. These roles underscore his ability to grow revenue, establish market presence, and lead teams through all phases of project development and execution.

“I’m thrilled to join Skanska’s Integrated Solutions team and contribute to the company’s broader growth and strategic goals,” Cheney said. “I look forward to fostering strong partnerships, advancing innovative approaches, and helping shape the future of construction delivery across the region.”

Cheney studied chemical engineering at the University of New Haven and completed additional coursework in engineering sciences at Norwalk Technical College and Housatonic Community College.

The appointment reflects Skanska’s continued investment in experienced leadership to support clients with integrated, strategic project delivery solutions.
