BOSTON–Samuels & Associates announced the addition of two new senior leaders to its team: Steven Spinale was named Senior Vice President of Capital and Investments and Anne Shaughnessy was appointed Senior Vice President, Chief of Staff.
The positions support the continued strength and evolution of one of the region’s most respected real estate firms and community builders.

Anne joins the S&A team after a long career at Emerson College, where she served four presidents, provided instrumental support to the Board of Trustees, and managed many special projects and external facing activities on behalf of the College. In her role as a Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff, Anne will provide strategic leadership to ensure clear communication and seamless operations.

Born and raised in Boston and a graduate of Emerson College, Anne lives in Braintree with her family. Prior to her tenure at Emerson College, Anne also worked at the Boston Redevelopment Authority.
With extensive background in all aspects of institutional real estate investment and management, Steven joins the firm as a Senior Vice President of Capital and Investments. His most recent experiences include Greatland Realty Partners and JP Morgan Asset Management, where he covered transactions and investments across various sectors – life science, multifamily, office, retail – and major geographic markets. At S&A, Steven will be overseeing strategic capital raising, long-term financial strategy development and planning, and transactions and investments across properties.

A resident of Winchester, Steven holds a bachelor’s degree from Bentley University. When not coaching his children’s sports, Steven is filling his calendar with ULI, REFA and National Multifamily Housing Council events along with various volunteering opportunities at Heading Home, Community Servings, and the Boston Athletic Academy.
