ANDOVER, Mass.– Refresh Mental Health has signed a new lease to relocate its New England headquarters within Andover, from Essex Street to a 6,200-square-foot space at 40 Shattuck Road, a Cummings Properties building.

The new location, slated for December occupancy, will accommodate the Florida-based company’s expansion of two subsidiaries, Family Counseling Associates (FCA) and Center for Eating Disorders Management (CEDM).

Founded in 1988, CEDM specializes in medical, nutritional, and psychological services for the treatment of eating disorders. Its approach combines medical care with psychotherapy, medication management, and nutrition services at the outpatient and intensive outpatient care levels.

FCA’s licensed mental health practitioners provide outpatient counseling for children, teens, and adults. Its comprehensive mental health care services include individual and group therapy, as well as specialized treatment programs.

“Already one of the larger mental health practices in Massachusetts, Refresh continues to expand in response to an ever-growing need for counseling and eating disorder treatment options,” said George Mouzakis, vice president of New England operations for Refresh Mental Health. “The new location at 40 Shattuck will afford us the flexibility of a space we can grow into, as well as increased parking for our clients.”

Cummings Properties account manager Dave Harvey worked directly with Refresh Mental Health on the lease, which includes a large-scale buildout.

“The upscale, professional environment at 40 Shattuck will be ideal for Refresh’s business,” said Harvey, who was well acquainted with Refresh through its existing lease at another Cummings-managed property in Burlington. “Its ready highway access will make this move a convenient one for staff and patients commuting from Boston, Southern New Hampshire, or anywhere in between.”

Located 20 miles north of Boston in Andover’s business district, 40 Shattuck Road is a glass-and-brick building with ribbon windows and a two-story atrium. It houses 120,000 square feet of office and lab space, including available build-to-suit suites, and features an on-site fitness room and micro-market.
