Peabody Properties Opens Applications for New Affordable Senior Housing at 3371 Washington in Jamaica Plain

JAMAICA PLAIN, MA — Peabody Properties, an affiliate of The Peabody Companies has officially opened the application period for its new affordable senior housing community at 3371 Washington Street in Jamaica Plain. Applications will be accepted now through July 14, 2025.

The new development, designed for individuals aged 62 and older, offers 35 one-bedroom apartments for low-income seniors, along with five set-aside units for individuals transitioning from homelessness (not part of the public lottery). The community also features an 800-square-foot commercial restaurant space, contributing to the neighborhood’s continued revitalization.

Peabody Properties will manage the community and provide a comprehensive suite of senior-focused support services, including 24-hour emergency response, an on-site meal program, and coordinated wellness and social programs. Amenities include outdoor gathering areas, a communal kitchen and dining room, and a shared laundry room.

The site, formerly home to two small businesses, was redeveloped under the guidance of relocation and acquisition policies that ensured fair compensation for prior tenants, in compliance with the Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act.

Applications are available at www.live3371washington.com or in person at Julia Martin House, 90 Bickford Street, Jamaica Plain, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. All completed applications must be submitted online or postmarked by July 14 to:
