NATICK, Mass. — After more than six decades as a family-owned real estate company serving Massachusetts communities, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Commonwealth Real Estate announced that Page Realty has officially joined its growing regional network.
The transition became effective May 7 and marks a new chapter for Page Realty, a brokerage with deep roots in Norfolk County and a history spanning three generations of the Rao family.
Founded in 1963 by Roger Rao, Page Realty built its reputation on local expertise and long-standing client relationships. Over the decades, the company evolved through the leadership of family members Al Rao, Ellen Rao, Paul Rao, and most recently Chris Rao, who became an owner in 2021.
Al Rao began his real estate career in 1976, while Ellen Rao joined the company in 1982. In 1986, Al and his brother Paul purchased the brokerage, helping guide the company through decades of market shifts and industry changes. Under Al Rao’s leadership, the firm affiliated with Prudential in 1989 before joining the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices network in 2014.
According to the company, the brokerage has completed more than 500 transactions while maintaining a reputation for personalized service and community trust.
“This was the right move at the right time,” said Al Rao, owner of Page Realty. “Commonwealth’s platform gives our agents more support and our clients more reach, without changing the relationships and standards that built Page Realty’s reputation over 60 years. We are proud of this company’s ‘Family Owned & People First’ legacy and excited about what comes next.”
Through the merger, Page Realty clients and agents will now gain access to Commonwealth Realty Group’s broader regional network, which includes 31 offices, 667 agents, and more than $2.5 billion in annual sales volume.
Company leaders said the expanded platform will provide enhanced marketing exposure, stronger referral opportunities, and additional operational resources while maintaining the local relationships that defined Page Realty for generations.
“When you find a company with 60 years of community trust, a three-generation family commitment to the business, and a track record that speaks for itself, you want them in your company,” said George Patsio, managing partner of Commonwealth Realty Group, LLC. “Page Realty has been a cornerstone of the communities they serve, and we are proud to welcome them to Commonwealth. We look forward to what we will build together.”
The newly combined operation will continue under the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices brand as part of Commonwealth’s expanding Massachusetts real estate network.
