BOSTON – NEI General Contracting, a general contractor and construction management firm, announced the promotion of Mike Myers to Project Executive in its Florida office.

“A native of Florida, Mike relocated from our New England office to Florida in 2016 and has worked on some of our more challenging projects,” said Richard Ionelli, director of southeast construction operations for NEI General Contracting. “As a project executive, Mike will lead several properties in the Jacksonville area. His keen attention to detail and unparalleled work ethic will serve him – and NEI – well in his new role.”

Mike joined NEI New England in 2007 as a project manager and was promoted to senior project manager in 2016 when he relocated to the NEI Florida office. He has worked on projects ranging from $4.8 million to $12.5 million. Projects in Massachusetts include Putnam Square Apartments in Cambridge, E. Henry Twiggs Estate II in Springfield, and Riverside Family Housing Development in Taunton. In Florida, he was involved with three projects for Trinity Towers: South, West, and East.

Mike studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Central Florida and holds both Project Management Professional (PMP) and Project Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) certificates from the Project Management Institute.  He is also working toward obtaining the Florida Certified General Contractor License and the Certified Professional Constructor credential from the American Institute of Constructors (AIC).
