CAMBRIDGE, MA– Melissa Stopa, Senior Campus Planner at The Office of Campus Planning at MIT, will speak at the upcoming P3 Academic Facilities & Student Housing Conference on Jan. 22, 2025 at Burlington Marriott Hotel in Burlington, MA.

Ms. Stopa is a certified urban planner with experience in government and institutional planning. In her role as a senior campus planner at MIT, Ms. Stopa leads the planning, design and construction phases of capital projects and manages long-range planning studies.
Ms. Stopa has a master’s in urban planning and policy from Tufts University. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) and is a LEED Green Associate.
Those who are not familiar with P3, such projects are long-term contracts that allow the public and private sector to participate in the design, construction, financing, operation, and maintenance of a project, now widely used in the academic sector, including student housing, across New England.
Although P3 has been increasingly playing an important role in projects ranging from public infrastructure to airports and healthcare, the 2025 P3 symposium will focus on academic and student housing facilities, providing insights into partnership trends and sectors to watch in 2025 and beyond.
