Cambridge, MA — Eastern Edge, Kendall Square’s newest food hall, officially opens today at 290 Main Street in Cambridge, adjacent to the Kendall/MIT Red Line station. Spanning 11,000 square feet with seating for 275 guests, the new culinary destination brings together nine locally driven food vendors, two expansive bars, and flexible event space in the heart of one of Greater Boston’s busiest neighborhoods.

Developed and curated by Gather Group with support from Colicchio Consulting, Eastern Edge aims to celebrate the cultural and culinary diversity of Cambridge and Greater Boston.

“We’re thrilled to open Eastern Edge and welcome the community to a vibrant space designed for connection, creativity and great food and drink,” said Hans van der Reijden, Founder & CEO of Gather Group. “Our goal has always been to highlight the incredible talent of local chefs and operators while creating a place where everyone can gather, explore new flavors, and feel at home.”

The food hall’s final four vendors were unveiled today. New additions include Lone Star Taco Stand, serving vibrant Mexican street food inspired by Texas, California and Mexico; Bacaro Café & Bar, a Venetian-inspired café transitioning from daytime espresso and pastries to evening cicchetti and wine; Fuji Sushi, a grab-and-go concept from the JP Fuji Group featuring sushi and sashimi favorites; and Chatty Patty, offering Caribbean-inspired patties baked fresh throughout the day.

They join previously announced vendors: Clover, the beloved plant-forward fast-casual concept that launched its first food truck near Kendall Square in 2008; Juicy Jay’s, a bold burger concept from Boston-born chef Jonas Beausejour; Perillas Korean Kitchen, known for its modern bibimbap bowls; Everybody Gotta Eat, the popular Black-led comfort food brand founded by Cambridge native chef Emmanuel “Manny” Mervil; and Việt Citron, specializing in scratch-made Vietnamese street food.

The space features two full-service bars offering rotating craft cocktails, world-class wines, regional beers, and non-alcoholic selections. Designed by Eimer Design, Eastern Edge blends contemporary finishes and biophilic elements with preserved historic details, paying homage to the building’s past as home to The Suffolk Engraving & Electrotyping Co.

With its mix of established local favorites and first brick-and-mortar concepts, Eastern Edge is poised to become a central gathering place for Kendall Square’s workforce, residents, and visitors alike.
