PAWTUCKET, R.I.— John M. Corcoran & Co. has officially launched leasing at Dexter Street Commons, a new mixed-use apartment community in Pawtucket’s growing Conant Thread District. The 150-home development is expected to welcome its first residents in late August, adding modern housing and retail space to one of Rhode Island’s most transit-connected neighborhoods.

The five-story property, constructed by New England Construction and managed by John M. Corcoran & Co., offers a mix of studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments designed to accommodate a variety of lifestyles, including remote workers and commuters traveling to Providence and Boston.

Located just one block from the new Pawtucket/Central Falls commuter rail station and regional bus hub, Dexter Street Commons is positioned as a transit-oriented development that emphasizes convenience, sustainability, and resident well-being.

“Dexter Street Commons was designed around how people want to live today, whether they’re commuting to Providence or Boston, working remotely, enjoying neighborhood dining and shopping, or simply seeking a home that supports their well-being,” said Kelli Ahearn-Lucas, Assistant Marketing Director at John M. Corcoran & Co. “From the co-working spaces and lounges to the commuter-friendly location and wellness-focused design, this community offers residents a place to truly live, work, and thrive.”

The pet-friendly community features a range of modern amenities, including high-speed IoT internet, co-working spaces, private networking areas, an indoor resident lounge, a rooftop deck, touchless building access, bike storage, personal storage units, EV charging stations, and a dedicated package room.

Each apartment includes stainless steel Energy Star-rated appliances, LED lighting, and independently controlled heating and cooling systems. The building also incorporates workforce housing, with 30 apartments reserved for qualified individuals and families.

In addition to residential offerings, Dexter Street Commons includes ground-floor retail space aimed at supporting downtown Pawtucket’s continued revitalization and economic growth.

Market-rate apartments are currently available, with studio units starting at $1,750 per month and two-bedroom apartments beginning at $2,650.

Developers describe the project as a pioneering “Live Well, Be Well” community, designed to foster a lifestyle where residents can live, work, stay, play, and belong. With direct access to Pawtucket, Providence, Boston, and Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport, the development seeks to capitalize on the region’s expanding transportation infrastructure while promoting environmentally conscious living.

Leasing is now underway, with additional information available at Dexter Street Commons’ website.
