BOSTON, April 26, 2017 – JLL announced the promotion of Jennifer Christakes to Managing Director of its Property Management group in the New England region. With nearly 18 years of experience in the industry and within the organization, Jennifer brings a decorated resume and respected reputation to the market, where she will be responsible for both running and growing the business.
“Jennifer is the ideal person to take on the leadership of our property management business,” said JLL New England Market Director Jim Tierney. “Her deep roots at JLL, extensive property management experience and strong client relationships make her a wonderful fit for this role. She understands our business and values our culture in a way that sets her and our organization up for tremendous success.”
Jennifer comes to New England from Chicago, where she most recently served as Regional Operations Manager for JLL in the Midwest market. There, she ran the day-to-day operations of the business across five major cities including Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Louis, Indianapolis, and Minneapolis. In Boston, she will be doing all of that and more in her new role.
“In my previous roles, I have focused on operations, client relations and business development but the opportunity to lead our team in New England is incredibly exciting,” said Christakes. “Our team is accomplished and driven and I am eager to work together to achieve even more success.”
A Chicago native, Jennifer holds a B.S. from Columbia College and an M.B.A. from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Prior to joining JLL, Jennifer served 8 years in the Army, rising to the ranks of Captain in the Army Corps of Engineers.
“JLL and the Army to me are very similar,” said Christakes. “With respect to the camaraderie, in the Army, your company or battalion is like your family and that’s how it’s been for me since I’ve been with JLL. The Army also teaches you discipline, leadership and management skills and I think that’s helped me be successful in my roles here at JLL.”
It has been an exciting time for Jennifer recently. In addition to taking on her new role in New England, she was also recently named a JLL Champion of Excellence. The award is the highest honor JLL bestows upon and employee and recognizes one’s career-long contribution not only to the firm, but to colleagues, family and the community.
