Boston — Hunneman announced an expanded partnership with Gulf Winds International, a leading intermodal transportation and logistics company. The collaboration has resulted in a major real estate portfolio restructuring across key logistics markets in Texas, Georgia, South Carolina, and Virginia, supporting Gulf Winds’ continued national growth.

Working closely with Gulf Winds, Hunneman executed a series of strategic transactions in Dallas, Houston, Fort Worth, Savannah, Charleston, and Norfolk, optimizing the company’s terminal and warehouse network to enhance flexibility, capacity, and cost efficiency.

“Over the past several years, Gulf Winds has experienced unprecedented growth, and we needed a strategic partner who could help us quickly expand our terminal and warehouse footprint,” said Sam Freni, Chief Operating Officer at Gulf Winds International. “Hunneman has been a true extension of our team, helping us navigate complex real estate decisions with clarity, speed, and alignment to our long-term goals. Their deep market knowledge and strategic approach have been instrumental in helping us position our portfolio for growth and flexibility.”

Hunneman’s Leasing and Advisory Team — including Bill Rand, Jim Boudrot, and Patrick Grady — supported Gulf Winds through a mix of relocations, lease extensions, modifications, and dispositions, as well as ongoing portfolio strategy and optimization. In 2025 alone, the firm has executed a dozen transactions of varying sizes, including a 356,600-square-foot lease extension in Houston.

“The entire Gulf Winds team has been exceptional to work with,” said Bill Rand, Vice President at Hunneman. “The collaboration and trust between the two firms has delivered proven results. We look forward to building on this success and continuing to collaborate with such an innovative and dynamic team.”

Headquartered in Houston, Gulf Winds operates a national logistics network with hubs in Dallas, Fort Worth, Mobile, Memphis, Savannah, Charleston, Norfolk, and Baltimore. As the company scales its operations nationwide, Hunneman’s tenant-focused advisory platform continues to deliver data-driven, cost-optimized solutions that improve operational performance and real estate flexibility.

This strategic partnership underscores the growing importance of real estate optimization in the logistics sector, as companies like Gulf Winds respond to shifting supply chain demands, port activity, and regional infrastructure growth.
