Boston– In response to the growing success of Gogarbaj, a popular clothing business featuring local brands, as well as secondhand and upcycled fashion, owner Jessie Orbovich has found a permanent home for the curated boutique in the heart of South Boston.
Gogarbaj, which has been known for its stylish fashion truck and pop-up shops, opens its first retail location on Thursday, November 9th at 395 West Broadway.
“Our goal when originally launching Gogarbaj as a pop-up and mobile business was to help make sure high-end fashion was accessible for all Boston shoppers and to remove the stigma of secondhand clothes, which we achieved through curated events across the city,” said Orbovich, who co-founded the brand’s pop-up business with Rachel Fournier. “Now with a permanent home on West Broadway, I’m eager to provide clientele with Gogarbaj’s curated fashion experience at all times, serving as a dependable and trusted destination where all shoppers can walk out feeling beautiful.”
The chic and vibrant new space spans two floors with a welcoming design featuring custom lighting, artwork and photography. The main floor of Gogarbaj features the brand’s designer women’s and men’s clothing and accessory collection, which includes high-end secondhand items, products from local designers such as Jennifer Brook Bags and Back Bay Watch Company, as well as pieces from local upcycled brands like Rough House Style. The Gogarbaj boutique will also feature items from the brand’s sister company, Boston-based Wicked Dog Apparel.
The lower level of the boutique offers shoppers a cozy escape to host fashion parties or simply kick back and relax. The space includes a vintage bar built by Orbovich’s grandfather in Cuba, comfortable lounge seating and framed vinyl records from Orbovich’s personal collection.
Located on South Boston’s thriving West Broadway, Gogarbaj is set among some of the neighborhood’s most popular establishments with easy access from all points within the city. Gogarbaj will be open Tuesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
