CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Elaine Construction has completed construction of Noodle Lab, a new fast-casual restaurant at 238 Main Street in Cambridge’s Kendall Square. The restaurant is now open and serving customers.
The Newton-based construction management firm completed the project in 13 weeks, transforming a vacant white-box space inside the occupied building into a fully built-out noodle bar.
The fast-tracked project included a complete commercial kitchen fit-out, with Elaine Construction installing a kitchen hood, specialized noodle bar equipment and a dishwasher. The project also included custom millwork throughout the restaurant.
Because construction took place inside an occupied building at 238 Main Street, the project required close coordination to minimize disruption to the rest of the property. Elaine Construction worked with building management and project architect JTA throughout the construction process.
“Helping a local restaurant open its doors is exactly the kind of work our team enjoys most,” said Jamie Audette of Elaine Construction. “Transforming a white-box space into a fully functioning noodle bar on a tight schedule, all within an occupied building, took real coordination, and we’re proud of how it came together.”
The completed restaurant is now welcoming customers at 238 Main Street in Kendall Square.
The project adds another food and dining destination to the Kendall Square area, while demonstrating Elaine Construction’s work on fast-tracked restaurant projects in occupied commercial properties.
