Deepa Venkat Joins SGA’s Growing Higher Education Team as a Senior Interior Designer

BOSTON — SGA, a Boston and New York City-based national award-winning architecture, interior design, planning, branded environments and virtual design construction practice, announced that Deepa Venkat, LEED AP, IIDA, NCIDQ has joined the firm’s growing higher education team as a Senior Interior Designer.

Ms. Venkat has over 14 years of experience designing workplaces, higher education facilities, residence halls, multifamily residential and K-12.

“We’re very excited to add Deepa to our growing Higher Education and Academic Facilities team,” said Al Spagnolo, AIA, NCARB, founding partner and president of SGA. “Her client-driven approach inspires communication and a shared purpose among clients and project team members.”

Ms. Venkat holds a Bachelor of Architecture and NCIDQ certification. She is also LEED AP and certified CSI Construction Document Technologist. She is currently pursuing NCARB certification.

Specializing in interior architecture and design, Ms. Venkat is well-versed through all phases of design and furniture planning projects. She seeks inspiration from multiple project typologies to envision solutions. She enjoys leading a collaborative design process with contractors, manufacturers, and craftspeople to create innovative features for client and project needs.

Outside the work, Ms. Venkat is a Vice President of the Professional Development Committee and Board Member at the New England chapter of IIDA.
