BOSTON– Peckar & Abramson, P.C.is announced the opening of its newest location at 28 State Street, Suite 1802 in Boston, and the arrival of accomplished construction and commercial litigation partners, Richard E. Briansky and Amy B. Hackett, to the firm.

With the addition of our 11th U.S. location, we broaden our geographic reach even further, while expanding our ability to serve clients locally and wherever their projects may take them,” said P&A Chairman, Steven M. Charney. “Along with their colleagues across the firm, we will look to Richard and Amy for their leadership and collaboration as we continue to help clients meet challenges, particularly as the construction industry increases in complexity.”

Richard Briansky

Richard Briansky is a Partner in P&A’s Construction & Infrastructure and Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution practices. His extensive experience includes representing general contractors and other parties litigating and trying complex construction, real estate, and general commercial disputes. For many clients, Richard also serves as in-house counsel, advising GC/CMs and other businesses in order to achieve their strategic business goals. In addition, Richard’s practice extends to real estate litigation and representation of corporate clients and developers in general commercial litigation matters.

Richard is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the State of Maine, and the State of Vermont, and he is an active member of the Boston Bar Association, the Massachusetts Bar Association, NAIOP, and the AGC of MA. He earned his B.A. from Clark University and his J.D. from Boston University School of Law.

Amy Hackett

Amy Hackett is a Partner in P&A’s Construction & Infrastructure and Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution practices. Amy represents general contractors, owners, developers, and other clients in a wide range of complex construction, real estate and commercial disputes. Her experience includes representing clients in matters involving contract disputes, design and construction defect claims, payment disputes, mechanic’s liens, warranty claims, lease and build-out disputes, shareholder disputes, and unfair and deceptive trade practices. She regularly appears in state and federal courts throughout New England and has argued successfully before the Massachusetts Appeals Court and First Circuit Court of Appeals.

Amy is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and State of Maine, the U.S. District Court for the State of Massachusetts, U.S. District Court for the State of Maine, and the

First Circuit Court of Appeals. She is an active member of the Boston Bar Association, the Real Estate Bar Association for MA, and the AGC of MA. Amy earned her B.A. from Connecticut College, her M.A. from University of Massachusetts, and her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law.
