BOSTON–Co-working giant WeWork is leasing another office in Boston, this time a 117,000-square-foot, three-floor spot at 100 Summer Street, reported Boston Business Journal.
“WeWork’s lease at 100 Summer St. is the latest in a string of deals for the 1.1 million-square-foot tower. Cambridge-based Ironwood Pharmaceuticals Inc. (Nasdaq: IRWD), a commercial-stage biotech company, last week said it would move its headquarters to the tower, and tech firm Attivio this spring moved from Newton to 100 Summer St.,” Boston Business Journal said.
Since WeWork opened its first Boston location in 2014, the co-working giant has leased more than 1 million square feet of office in the area, according to Boston Business Journal.
“As we open more locations downtown, we’re creating a concentrated and powerful support system for our community, providing more opportunity for the type of collaboration and connection needed to succeed,” Boston Business Journal quoted Dave McLaughlin, general manager of WeWork’s Tri-State, Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, as saying.
