CAMBRIDGE, MA – Acentech, a nationally recognized multi-disciplinary acoustics, audiovisual, IT and security system design, and vibration consulting firm, announced that it has completed consulting work for Pfizer Inc. (NYSE:PFE), a global pharmaceutical corporation headquartered in New York City.

Working with TLB Architecture, Acentech provided acoustical and audiovisual design services for a new auditorium and renovated conference center on Pfizer’s research and development campus in Groton, Conn.

The project included the renovation of an existing cafeteria rotunda to create a new 134-seat auditorium, a conference center with several meeting rooms, and existing and new café kiosks. Each of these spaces serves an essential and similar purpose for employee collaboration and communication. Acentech worked with TLB Architecture to design appropriate room finishes, sound isolation measures, and mechanical system noise control to transform these spaces into environments that encourage the exchange of ideas for Pfizer.

Acentech consultants also established the design criteria for the audiovisual requirements in these spaces. The auditorium and large conference room contain state-of-the-art, audiovisual systems for interactive, multi-site conferences and exceptional quality audiovisual presentations. User-friendly, cutting edge technology boasting large screen displays, ADA-compliant assistive listening devices, playback audio, and video conferencing were implemented to enable communication with Pfizer’s many global locations.
