BOSTON– WinnCompanies has appointed two executives to its board of directors, elevating Terri Benskin, the chief operating officer of WinnResidential, and Doug Jones, the chief operating officer of WinnResidential Military Housing Services, to serve on the company’s governance body.
“Terri and Doug have proven invaluable in their commitment to our success and have built deep and trusted partnerships with our clients and our team members,” said WinnCompanies CEO Gilbert Winn. “During the most challenging stretch in our 50-year history, their performance demonstrated the passion for excellence that we strive for every day.”
Benskin has served as COO of the residential property management company since April 2020 following 18 months as its executive vice president. She is responsible for WinnResidential’s day-to-day operations and financial performance, overseeing 2,000 team members and 600 apartment properties in 16 states and Washington, DC. Benskin joined WinnCompanies in 2018. A veteran of the United States Naval Reserves, she has 26 years of experience in the multifamily field.
Jones has served COO of the military property management company since February 2021 following five years as its executive vice president. He is responsible for the strategic direction, bottom-line fiscal accountability and day-to-day operations at more than privatized 40,000 homes at 17 military installations across the U.S., as well as more than 1,600 employees. Jones joined WinnCompanies in 2012 and has 35 years of experience in the multifamily field.
“Our decision-making will greatly benefit from the expertise and perspectives that Terri and Doug bring to the table,” said WinnCompanies Board Chairman Michael Putziger. “We are fortunate to have the opportunity to add them as directors.”
Both Benskin and Jones report to Patrick Appleby, who serves as president of WinnResidential and WinnResidential Military Housing Services.
