BOSTON— International law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP has officially opened its new Boston office at Lyrik Back Bay, marking a significant expansion of its presence in one of the firm’s key U.S. markets.

The relocation to 1001 Boylston Street increases Weil’s Boston footprint by approximately one-third, growing from 28,174 square feet to 37,379 square feet. The move reflects the firm’s ongoing growth in the region and its long-term commitment to serving clients throughout Greater Boston and New England.

Weil first established its Boston office in 2002 and has steadily expanded its capabilities and attorney roster in the market over the past two decades.

“Our move to this new, signature space in Boston marks a significant milestone and underscores the importance of this key market to our clients, our lawyers and the Firm’s long-term strategy,” said Barry Wolf, Executive Partner at Weil. “Boston has long been an important center for our clients and our practice. The new office accommodates our growing team of exceptional attorneys and enhances our ability to deliver the collaborative, high-caliber service our clients expect from Weil.”

The new office occupies two floors within Lyrik Back Bay and features a dedicated reception and conference center, collaborative workspaces, and modern amenities designed to support innovation and teamwork. The space also includes an outdoor patio area intended for client events, networking functions, and community gatherings.

The move comes amid a period of notable expansion for the firm’s Boston operations. Since January 2025, Weil has added seven partners to the office, including six lateral hires and one internal promotion. The additions have strengthened the firm’s capabilities across several practice areas, including private equity, private funds, employment law, banking and finance, technology and intellectual property transactions, litigation, and regulatory matters.

“I am proud of what our Boston team has accomplished and excited about what this move means for the future,” said Jakub Wronski, Co-Managing Partner of Weil’s Boston office. “This new space was thoughtfully designed to support the way we work—bringing our lawyers together, encouraging collaboration across practices and creating room for continued growth. Just as importantly, it provides an environment where we can work even more closely with our clients to solve their most complex challenges.”

In anticipation of continued expansion, Weil has already secured additional space within the building and plans a phased growth strategy over the next year. Firm leaders said the additional capacity will allow the office to accommodate future hiring and evolving client needs.

Lyrik Back Bay has emerged as one of Boston’s premier office destinations, attracting a diverse roster of corporate tenants. The building is home to organizations including CarGurus and LEGO and offers a range of amenities designed to support modern workplace experiences. Tenants also benefit from proximity to retail, dining, and entertainment options in the heart of Back Bay, including the recently opened Avra restaurant.

The relocation underscores a broader trend among leading law firms investing in upgraded office environments that support collaboration, talent recruitment, and client engagement while positioning themselves for long-term growth in major legal and business markets.
