Waterstone Properties Group Announces Key Leadership Hires

NEEDHAM, MA – Waterstone Properties Group, Inc. has announced three new additions to their executive leadership team. The hires come as Waterstone expands from its roots as a retail and industrial development company and expands its breadth of business to include
office, hotel, residential, data centers, logistics, medical office and mixed-use development projects, including Rock Row in Westbrook, ME and West End Yards in Portsmouth, NH.

The three new hires bring combined decades of experience in real estate development,
finance, construction, leasing, project management and marketing.

Bill Comeau

Bill Comeau will serve as Waterstone’s Chief Financial Officer, Gary Stevens as Senior VP of Leasing, and Ken Mahtesian as Senior VP of Construction.

“As we approach several new, large-scale development projects, we’re thrilled to be expanding our leadership with such experienced and talented individuals, each bringing their own expertise to the table,” said Neal Shalom, chairman and founding partner of Waterstone Properties Group. “The combined experience of Bill, Gary, and Ken in the commercial real estate industry is an enormous asset as Waterstone continues to manage and develop successful real estate assets across the country.”

As CFO, Bill Comeau will oversee all finance and accounting operations for Waterstone, including budgeting, tax planning and investor relations. Prior to joining Waterstone, Comeau served in senior real estate industry finance roles with WeWork, C-III Capital
and DLC Management.

Gary Stevens

Gary Stevens joins Waterstone from Ramco-Gershenson Properties Trust, an NYSE-traded real estate investment trust, and brings extensive national experience in corporate real estate growth, management, and development. Stevens previously worked in leasing and development at national companies including Life Time Fitness, Sears Holding Corporation, Staples, Ahold Real Estate Co. and Samuels & Associates.

Ken Mahtesian will be responsible for all construction projects at Waterstone. He brings two decades of project and construction management experience to the company. Most recently, Ken was the Director of Project Management at CBRE Global Workplace Solutions servicing the TD Bank and State Street Corporation clients. Prior to CBRE Ken managed construction projects at Shaw’s Supermarkets and Santander Global Facilities.

Ken Mahtesian
