WOBURN, MA – Tocci Building Companies (Tocci), a Boston-area construction manager, announced that it will host the Woburn Business Association (WBA) Network Gathering at its headquarters on March 23rd from 5:30pm – 7:30pm. The WBA’s monthly networking event provides a premier opportunity for the Woburn business community to meet, mingle, and strengthen connections.
Located at 660 Main Street in Woburn, MA, Tocci’s headquarters is situated in the restored Guastavino Tile Factory. In 1996, John and Lila Tocci purchased the facility and saved it from demolition. They have since updated and restored the entire building, maintaining its design implemented by the original owners, the Guastavino family. Tours of the historic building will be offered during the Network Gathering.
The WBA event will also include a discussion focusing on Woburn’s most famous historic landmark, the H. H. Richardson designed Woburn Public Library. Larry Rideout, Woburn resident, CEO/Owner of Gibson Sotheby’s, and President of the Woburn Library Foundation, will provide a brief presentation about the status of the upcoming library expansion. The project will include a historic renovation of the current building, as well as an addition which will provide public meeting rooms, a children’s room for reading activities, and greater accessibility to computers. Rideout, and other Foundation Directors, will conclude the event with a Q&A session.
“Working in the restored Guastavino Tile Factory deepened my appreciation for historic buildings,” said Lila Tocci, Woburn Public Library Foundation Member and Director of Company Life + Charitable Giving at Tocci. “As a Foundation Director, I am proud to help the City of Woburn realize its vision of developing an architectural centerpiece that opens its doors to serve citizens of all ages.”
