BOSTON—The Boston Real Estate Times, one of New England’s largest digital, video and print real estate media outlets, today named Peter A. Merrigan, CEO and Managing Partner of Taurus Investment Holdings LLC. (Taurus), as its “Person of the Year” for 2022. Taurus is a global private equity real estate firm operating for over 45 years with experience across asset classes and including renewable energy sectors.
Mr. Merrigan has overseen the acquisition and development of more than 69 million square feet of commercial space to date, with a value in excess of $10 billion.
As CEO and chairman of the firm’s Investment Committee, he has guided Taurus in developing and executing investment strategies in multifamily housing, logistics, retail, office, hospitality and renewable energy throughout the United States and nine foreign countries.
Mr. Merrigan will be honored at the Boston Real Estate Times’s 2022 Excellence Awards gala on Oct. 6 at the Burlington Marriott Hotel in Burlington, MA.

Mr. Merrigan serves on the Board of Directors and National Advisory Board of Family Reach, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to removing the financial barriers standing between a cancer patient and their treatment. He is also on the Advisory Board of Self Help Africa, and is a benefactor of the Professor Edward Callahan Irish Studies Support Fund at Holy Cross.

Mr. Merrigan graduated from College of the Holy Cross and received a MS degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
