Boston – CBRE/New England announced that Suzanne Duca, Director of Research/Partner with the firm’s Creative & Analytics team, has been named to Boston Business Journal’s 2018 40 Under 40 honorees.

“We are lucky to have Suzanne on our team, and her 40 Under 40 recognition is a true testament to her exceptional work inside and outside of the office,” said CBRE/NE President and Co-Managing Partner Andy Hoar. “Since joining CBRE/NE in 2011, Suzanne has contributed to our firm’s strategic growth through expanding the Research team, intern program and charitable initiatives.”

The Boston Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” has been recognizing the area’s top professionals each year since 1998. Over 350 people were nominated this year and were evaluated on both corporate and civic accomplishments.

Duca joined CBRE/New England in 2011 as the Director of Research, and last year she was named Partner. She has revamped the way the firm approaches research, incorporating it into every aspect of the company and leading teams in the future of data and analytics. The company was looking to grow and develop the team, and in just a few years, Duca hired incredible talent to build out her team. Aside from growing the Research team, she has flourished in her other roles within the company, many of which do not fall under her current job description but rather are initiatives she wanted to get involved in to make CBRE/NE better. One major way she has done this is by building the intern program into a more strategic tool for finding new talent, and by capitalizing on its potential to build a pipeline of well-qualified, diverse candidates by partnering with organizations such as The Posse Foundation, KAGE Growth Strategies and The Boston Private Industry Council.

On top of this, Suzanne is involved in a number of internal programs and initiatives, such as CBRE/NE’s mentor program, CBRE Women’s Networking Group and Vice Chair of CBRE/NE’s Fun Advisory Committee (FAC) in planning social events that bring employees of the firm together. In addition to her involvement with these initiatives, Duca is a staple of the firm’s CBRE Cares (philanthropic day of service) events. She has an impact in the office culture beyond being a research resource—she fosters community at every level and contributes to cross-team collaboration both in and out of the workplace. Outside of the office, Duca gives back to her community as a board member of nonprofit Southborough Extended Day, a corporate member of MassEcon’s Location Intelligence Committee and Board Member for the Commercial Brokers Association of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board.

Suzanne holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Babson College in Business with a Concentration in Information Systems. She resides in Southborough with her husband Andrew and their sons Rocco and Gino.

Honorees will be recognized on October 17 at the Red Lantern in Boston.
