New openings bring fashion, footwear, and a Massachusetts-based coffee brand to the Braintree shopping destination.
BRAINTREE, Mass. — South Shore Plaza is expanding its mix of retail, dining, and entertainment offerings with the arrival of three new tenants: True Religion, Timberland, and Cape Cod Coffee.
The additions continue a busy year for the Braintree shopping center, which has recently welcomed several new retailers and attractions as it seeks to broaden its appeal to shoppers across Greater Boston and the South Shore.
Timberland, the globally recognized outdoor footwear and apparel company, has officially opened its new store at the mall. Founded more than five decades ago, the brand is known for its rugged boots and outdoor-inspired clothing. To mark the opening, shoppers have been offered opportunities to customize purchases through laser engraving, lace swaps, and patches, along with promotional giveaways.
Also joining the center is True Religion, the premium denim and lifestyle brand that gained prominence for its distinctive stitching and reimagined approach to classic denim design. Since launching in Los Angeles in 2002, the company has built a global following through its signature jeans and casual apparel collections.
Later this summer, Cape Cod Coffee will open its newest location at South Shore Plaza. The Massachusetts-based coffee company, founded on Cape Cod, is known for sourcing Fair Trade and Rainforest Alliance-certified coffee beans from around the world and tailoring each café’s menu to its local community.
According to mall officials, the new café will feature food offerings unique to the South Shore Plaza location while maintaining the brand’s focus on specialty coffee and community-centered hospitality.
“This is a great mix for South Shore Plaza and our community,” said Amy Sullivan, the center’s director of marketing and business development. “Both Timberland and True Religion are brands people have loved for decades, and having Cape Cod Coffee join the lineup feels like a natural fit. It is a brand based right here in Massachusetts.”
The latest additions follow several recent openings at the mall, including Aloha Mini Glow Golf, an indoor Hawaiian-themed glow golf attraction; POP MART, the collectible toy and entertainment retailer; and Rolife, a specialty retailer focused on DIY craft kits and miniature model builds.
With the addition of new national brands and local businesses, South Shore Plaza continues to expand beyond traditional retail by adding dining, entertainment, and experiential offerings designed to attract visitors throughout the year.
