WEYMOUTH, MA–South Shore Habitat for Humanity, which has delivered quality housing in partnership with families in need for the past 32 years, announced that Michael Burman of Sharon, Massachusetts has joined the organization as Director of Finance and Administration.
In this role, Burman, working with Executive Director Martime Taylor, is responsible for overseeing the financial and operational elements of the organization.
Prior to joining South Shore Habitat for Humanity, Burman was Founder and President of MNB Services Co., Inc. a provider of amusement, vending and office coffee services.
Burman is a graduate of Babson College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
Born in Boston, Burman moved to Wisconsin for several years as a child before his family came back to Massachusetts. He has made his home in Sharon, Massachusetts for the past 50 years and is married “to the love of my life and best friend of 44 years.” The couple are proud of their three adult children, their spouses and “four amazing grandchildren.”
“When you toss a rock into a pond, it ripples, with each ripple touching another,” said Burman, noting his pleasure at being a member of the South Shore Habitat team. “If we all do this, just think how many people can be helped and what better place to start than assisting families make a house a home.”
